I tried ordering an inspection copy from Pearsons for Cairo American College but they sent the following email:

Unfortunately we can only send inspection copies to lecturers who adopt the course.

Hello Robin, my apologies for that odd response… I have just emailed the folks at Pearson with the following:
The message below was posted to my blog today. An IB teacher at a big international school was told he could not have an inspection copy of our book… What is that all about? Can you kindly make sure that this teacher is sent a copy for inspection? And can someone please tell Helen that it is rude to reply to our potential customers in such vague and senseless statements as that sent to Robin below? Thanks…

I also asked for a sample of the book and i also got the same reply. In fact I oredered for a teachers resource book of sloman’s and didn’t get the required teachers resources inspite of the payment having been made. The excuse being the same that I needed to adopt the book as a course book.
