In a way, this is still relevant to economics though as many of the developments chronicled represent sources of increased productivity and economic growth since America's foundation. While I didn't click on every date, most of the dates between Smith and Keynes appeared to be entrepreneurial in nature (Hamilton excepted, althought I wouldn't rate him as an economist).
